Animation for Planets?
« on: June 20, 2012, 11:23:38 AM »
Is it possible to add an animation file to a planet? If not then will it be possible in the next big update?

What do you mean by an animation file? What do you want to animate?

Is it possible to add an animation texture or file (Such as Jupiter's rotating clouds, et cetera) to a planet? I wasn't actually thinking about animating anything though.

you can't currently use an animation file but maybe in v3

Will the textures still be able to be modified? What about inserting a .gif? is this currently a gif?

Yes. You'll still be able to use your own textures.

You might be able to use gif files in v3, not sure yet.

Is this a gif? No. It's a procedural star texture.
