Fun with Suns
« on: June 10, 2012, 07:59:29 AM »
So i was playing around with the sun and started throwing moons at it.

1. put two suns in binary orbit, approximately 5 million kilometers away
2. zoom out to 100 million kilometers, and shoot moons at the center of their orbit at 10km/s (timestep on 20 minutes but slowed when moons start getting closer to suns).
3. Try to get moons to go right or left :P

Some of my moons crashed into the sun, some went left, some went right, some even started going right and then looped back to the left, some started orbiting between the suns, and so on.

So... I read your post and I thought 'Let's make some binary systems' and I saw that it was good.

But then I tried shooting moons, and I thought 'Let the stars be moved and planets follow!' and I saw it was good.
