Keyboard input not working (with a workaround)

So, I booted it up this morning using 2.1.5 steam version.  And when I switched to Waterfox (64-bit firefox that I had opened on a second monitor) to reference numbers on a system I'm trying to recreate, all keyboard input doesn't work (e.g. names, perigee)  As long as I don't switch (either via keyboard or mouse), key input works.  I'm a bit sad.

Currently, exiting the program and restarting it is a working solution.  So long as I don't click into my browser on a second monitor.  I had not tried this on the same monitor I have tried this on the same monitor now.  It still yields the same result.  I am including my system specs in the code section.

I'm aware version 3 will be a whole other thing.  So how much effort you put into this is entirely up to you.  It's an annoying bug, but not mission critical.  I'm just dropping this here for those who may come across this, and so that the bug is made aware to you devs. I still love the program after all this time. 

Also, I'd like to note that the . (period/full stop/dot/del key) on the numpad does not work for number entry.  Though I don't believe it ever has, and I'm pretty sure I brought this up before.  So disregard this part if this was discussed previously.  I'm a little tired.
