It's the TSA fucking things up as usual. Come on, do you think a kid is going to suddendly turn into a dwarf adult and take over a plane?

Seriously, they traumatized the poor kid. TSA is too paranoid. While yes I would like security, we've heard plenty of stories where people have had serious problems with it and they need to listen to reason.

No but seriously this is incredibly stupid. Unless the grandmother was some sort of master magician then there's obviously no way a handgun was passed on. Jesus Christ.
Furthermore, handguns are slightly heavy and catered to match the size of an adult's hand. Considering this, imagine how obvious it would look if a 4 YEAR OLD GIRL, had a pistol hidden under her clothes or tucked into the top of her trousers. Even compact pistols would probably be visible on the frame of such a young girl.
