Fun with the Sun
« on: March 10, 2012, 08:27:39 AM »
Here's a little simulation i made...

Yes the images are  bit big. Just click on them and use arrow keys

First i fire'd suns all over the place. Randomly. The way the trails curve and orbit is really interesting in my opinion

I zoomed out and saw that it sorta looked like a star cluster

POV from some of the Suns

This one is really far away and the cluster merely looks like a blob from here

I reset the trail data and have them auto orbit...

Intersting...

It breaks up into 3 binary stars

I uploaded the simulation at the cluster stage so you can play around if you wish.

Some of the trails in the last images look nice. Are any of them stable at all?

They look very chaotic, especially the images in the middle.

some of the orbits are stable. Once, i saw two binary stars orbiting each other until a third came out of no where and smashed them apart :)
