Saturns hexagon

I first heard about it while watching 'The Universe'. It's been there to see for 2 NASA missions showing that it has stayed for a long time. I think it's cool that USand actually shows it if you look at the north pole of Saturn.
Any ideas as to why it is there? And how it's staying for so long?

I watch the universe too.
Though, It could've been their after years when Saturn formed. I think it used to be circular, but over time it came with the hexagon, I don't know about the south pole though.
