Here's another quirk about North Korea in Google Maps:
First map is the map setting, with roads and other things. However, in North Korea, there is nothing but one city marked. Its capital. No roads or anything. You can't even get driving directions into it.
Second is the satellite setting. As you can tell, there's a lot of terrain. Nothing special here, it's like the other countries.
Third is me zoomed into Pyongyang. How sad that they won't show us roads and other things, but we can see everything there in satellite mode. North Korea, you can't keep hiding things forever, the secret of many things you are doing will be exposed eventually (but most are already exposed).
