I don't see how this has much to do with outsourcing, but it seems more like offshoring is the problem here.

Of course, this wouldn't be a problem in a nationalized economy where the country itself has full control of the economy, which means that it won't be involved in the pressure from corporations jumping around the planet and exploiting working people where work is cheapest.
But it's not surprising that NationStates instead sets up a false dilemma between "corporations" or "no economy", as always on any issues involving capitalism and socialism.

Yeah, from the looks of it, NS nearly completely depopulated on July 31st. Although, did it actually completely depopulate? A bit hard to tell 100% for sure.

It didn't depopulate, the y-axis says it went down to around 209.5 million.
