I don't think there is any way to make the names of bodies appear above them instead of next to their sides. The developers would have to implement that

There's no way to adjust label placement in the current version of Universe Sandbox. Why do you want the labels at the top?

And I hope to eventually localized versions of Universe Sandbox (in French, for example), but this is still a long way away.
