Mars doesn't get sucked. (If Im mistaken, it should be back of the Sun.) I know it cause SST (Spitzer Space Telescope Co.) putted a video in YouTube about the Red Giant and Mars doesn't get swallowed  ;)

Haven't tried, but I guess they will just get more elliptical orbits. :)

Omg, the asteroids and the gas planets and celestia objects beyond that goes into elliptical orbit!

P.S. (It was 2 AU, not 1 AU  ;) )

P.S.S. ( Oh my..! The Earth doesnt get swallowed! But its even worst... Earth goes into an elliptical orbit, going near the Sun's surface!)

P.S.S.S. ( I saved the Red Giant system, anyone want it?)
