I'm working with a small team that's part of the University of Washington's Human Centered Design program:

They contacted me and asked if I'd be interested in working with them to improve the site as part of a 9 week class project.

This survey was to get a better idea of the types of people who are visiting the site.

I am part of the team working to improve the website.  Thanks to those who participated in the survey.  We're moving along in the process and we'd like you're help once more. 

We're now doing research that will help us get a better understanding of how the website should be organized and make it easier to use.  This exercise will take about 10 minutes. 

Note: we only need 5 people to participate, after that the study will be closed

Why only 5 people?  Seems like an insufficient sample that could make the website worse.

Only 5 people from the forum - we had participants from other sources.

This was a test run of a study and only needed a few participants. Depending on the results they may expand the number of participants by 100 in the near future.

Maybe by other sources they meant other websites were participating? 5 users from, maybe 20 participating sites.
