Having fun with nebula :D

Just playing around seeing the extents of what I can change



This particular nebula is a bit too red though

There are a couple ways to do this:

1) You can create a new "skybox" in a 3d editor and have the normals flipped to the inside.  Then add a planet or something and change the model to the name you you new skybox.  This method is good for only screen shots where the resolution of you background image isn't very high.  You can adjust the size of the skybox accordingly

2) You can dive into the media file and replace the microwave images or the starry night images with a pair that you choose.  Then in the GUI pick the file you replaced. (microwave, starry night).  This is good for operating the sim under and playing around.  Only thing is that with this method you have to pretty much replace the background included instead of creating a new one.  As soon as Dan lets us customize the UI.....

Ya, I see what you mean "angry". But, really, I only think it looks like it's on fire and the Earth is engulfed.

Try to make a green one?

Yeah, um, I'm wondering if anyone can link me to a EXTREMELY High resolution panoramic shot of the ENTIRE night sky. hope you can help.
