Here's a satirical article I found fun. Context: Copenhagen municipality decided to have one car-free Sunday next year (like Paris), and is dominated by left-wing parties. Frederiksberg is a smaller municipality completely surrounded by Copenhagen and is dominated by the conservative party.
Frederiksberg Demands Air Bridge on Car-Free SundayPoliticians and citizens in Frederiksberg think that evil socialists are trying to isolate the freedom-loving enclave and demand that the government secure the municipality's survival with an air bridge.
It is Sunday evening a bit past seven. From his speech chair in Frederiksberg City Hall, the conservative parlament member Rasmus Jarlov looks out upon thousands of worried Frederiksberg-citizens, who have just been singing Nordahl Griegs "Kringsatt av fiender". Jarlov cleared his throat and holds a small break, before he finishes his speech.
"All free people are citizens in Frederiksberg, so as a free man, I am proud to say: Ich bin ein Frederiksbürger!"
Thousands of throats burst into a cheer because of the politician's unreserved declaration of solidarity.
Hostages in Their Own CityThe reason for the evening's demonstration is that the regime in socialist-dominated Copenhagen has decided that there will be an entire day in 2016, where nobody from the small enclave legally can go out of the municipality via privately owned vehicles equipped with a combustion engine. The only theoretical exits will be via foot, bike or collective transport, which the municipality's inhabitants in practice consider total isolation.
Therefore the politician demands that Denmark will supply the municipality while the isolation is ongoing.
"When rabid socialists try to make us hostages in our own city, we must insist that the rest of the country helps supply Frederiksberg via an air bridge, in the name of freedom. We plan to use Falkoner Allé as start- and landing-strip, and expect to be able to receive 10 planes per hour with a calculated flight time of 21 seconds from Kastrup," Frederiksberg's conservative mayor Jørgen Glenthøj explains.
Will Send Aid PackagesIn the rest of the country, the sympathy for Frederiksberg is also big. Sympathetic citizens from Hellerup in Nordsjælland to Skåde near Århus have cooperated to organize aid packages with basic supplies of champagne, wine, clothes from Petit Bateau and new tennis balls.
Also the known debater and radio host Mads Holger has promised to revive his party plane Klub Jet and supply the city with at least 26 girls from 3.g on Herlufsholm and attack teachers invading on Christiania-bikes with his champagne sabre.
