The lag got much worse in 1.4.2 than it was in 1.3.2. At least with redstone. I made a simple circuit and after 30 minutes or so of having that chunk loaded my fps drops from 100 fps to 2 fps with almost no warning.

The instant teleportation and the ability for entities (mobs and items, tested myself in SP) to go through portals causes a great deal of lag and produces lagspikes, I'm not sure what that would do to the server.

I believe that we must first find the stronghold.

Not sure though, when's the next big vacation for everybody? Mine isn't until March (going away for Christmas).

I think we should just do a quick mission for finding the stronghold this weekend or next weekend. Maybe the ender dragon on the American thanksgiving? It's not a holiday for me, but I know I won't be busy that weekend.

What happened here? Big bits of buildings missing, no creeper craters (Except for the ones made be creepers who found me after I respawned).
