Yes they can, that doesn't mean they do it. Do you think we are so mean that a majority of us would really vote to take the resources out of your collective storage to prevent you from building whatever you wanted? :/
If something like that happened, we could discuss how to solve it, but imo I see no reason to think something like this would ever happen.

You don't have to put ALL of your resources into collective storage, I don't think that's what Bla meant.

No you don't, but those you don't put into it are public and can be used by other people.

Well it's either in your collective or public, so both can be taken from. But ok, it probably won't cause any problems.

I think there is a miscommunication or misinterpretation between you and Kipz as far as what you said.

I'm all for making a local stockpile for a project and making at least one chest private so that nobody takes valuable and/or essential (diamonds, obsidian) materials without permission, like Kipz's 20 diamonds example. Within reasonable bounds anyway.

So just take the stuff that got voted away from the collective storage, not the private/public storage.

Yes but once it's voted away it's not yours. I'm not sure i'm understanding you right

everything is either public or public with a more public public storage and a less public but still public collective storage. bla's are public too. amirite.

Public storages: Everyone can take and give inside the UBSR but should do it reasonably.
Collective storages: Regional governments manage them and through polls people can vote to take resources from them.

Smjjames, Idk what you mean by private storages, they're not allowed. I'm not sure what you mean by taking the stuff that got voted away. If it got voted away, you can't just take it away for yourself, because people just voted for it to be used in a project?

I mean have whoever is getting the materials (or if you're sending the materials yourself) take said materials out of collective storage, not the 20 diamonds you set aside for a project.

See my post above, just didn't word it very well I guess.

The issue we're trying to resolve here is transparency and people taking large amounts of material than is really neccesary out of other peoples public storages without their knowledge. Right? Mainly the transparency issue anyway.

Sorry, but I don't understand the context of this at all. :/

It's in this context, at least that's the context I'm using.
we should be able to stockpile materials, say, for a regional project, in private chests. if i wanted, maybe, 20 diamonds for a project, i should be able to put them somewhere where they cannot be taken or poll'ed away. or is that already a thing?

Unless we're all confused here, so then, what is the context?

Anyway, no, you cannot put them anywhere where they can't be polled away. Private chests are not allowed.

Are locked (private/magicked) doors allowed then? Also, if the collective storage bins are locked, does that mean they are private? You just said locked chests are not allowed.

No, I said private chests are not allowed. :/ Locked doors and chests are allowed, but locked (LWC private) chests are considered a part of a collective storage so the resources can be voted away (which is what makes them not really private).

Well, I only have one, maybe two 'private' chests that I know of, one was just to store essential supplies (food really) early on and doesn't need to be private anymore. I may have made that one not-private already, I don't remember.

The other one is a storage chest next to an abandoned mine entrance (which isn't the only entrance to the abandoned mine and the ravine system anymore anyways) which probably is private, but I can make that non-private. I just kind of forgot about it being a 'private' chest and just didn't want anybody to take the stuff out of there when I made it private.

Two chests near another abandoned mine entrance might be, but I don't think so.

Isn't there a command that lists how many registered chests you have?

The server is having some extreme lag issues right now, started a bit over a half hour ago, maybe it needs a reboot or something.

*slaps kipz with a muddy flatfish* :)

Also, Quontex is being a bit of a tyrant with this rule: 'Third, a price is to be paid for permission to access the island or if you are found on the island without the paid price, that is also an act of war.' and the fact that you have to pay 5 diamonds, which is kind of greedy IMO.

The second one about if anything happens to the wildlife on the island, its also an act of war, is more understandable. Although I would have had whoever killed the black sheep (some weeks ago) get new ones, dye them and breed up their numbers.

Support answered my lag problems:

"Hi there,

It looks like the machine requires maintenance on the SSD. This should be completed later on or early tomorrow morning (I will most likely do it myself shortly). Once this is done your lag issues will be fixed ;)

There will be a Clanforge News post immediately before this is started and also afterwards. Please keep an eye out for it!"
