I just found a cave system with what appears to be a shaft, or at least manmade stairs. Exploration in progress.

The location is deep in a forest and the coords are 489, 1569 for what appears to be the main entrance. I also made a cairn of sorts.

I didn't go down the stairwell yet, also I updated my previous post and I made a cairn since the location is kind of hidden.

Theres also more than one entrance, I went in through a side entrance.

FACEPALM, I fell into a large pit inside there and died, gah....

Are the stairs wood or stonebricks?

Stone, and when I fell, I saw lots of endermen and spiders.

I was managing okay until a zombie pushed me off a cliff. Should have dug a hole to protect myself..

The stairs are stonework and theres plenty of coal and ore. Its an extensive cave.

do you know, where this place is

Its straight south from the desert village. I gave the coords above and also built a cairn as its in thick woods.

Anyways, heres approx what I had:
diamond pick
diamond sword
full diamond armor
two iron shovels (one damaged another not)
iron axe
10 bread and several pieces of meat
bed
a bucket of water (yes, lol)
several sticks.
at least one full stack of torches
a crafting table

Thats about all that I remember or are at least valuable.

Also, it's DEEP, I don't know how far underground I went, but it's far.

It has an extensive mine underneath it as well.

Also, Bla, the sleep plugin broke somehow and I had to log out and back in for it to work.

Hey bla, your jaw is probably going to drop when you see how much I've explored. I tried to make my way back by sea heading straight for 0,0 coordinates, but had to go by land. I have no idea where I am as it seems to be uncharted territory.

Edit: Just saw signs of others having been there before, but I still don't know where the heck I am.

Yes, thats what I was doing. Anyways, I finally reached civilization a little bit ago and I've figured out where I am, I'm in Quontia. I've been going NW for a very long way, had to go through a huge frozen area. Glad to be outta that wilderness.

The reason why I had to abandon the boat is because I kept being surrounded by ice and couldn't find my way back towards known lands using that method only.

Question, what do you regard as an epic cave? Because I put the description as epic for the one I found, and it probably IS epic for sure.

Epic = you can explore it for more than ~15 minutes without stopping and keep finding new branches.

So I found your stuffz, smjjames.
Nice cave you found thar. It's certainly epic. I took a few souvenirs from it.

It's back in the dumping chests, but try to be more careful with it, or use maybe leather armor and iron tools when you go to places where you think you might die.

each floor is 4 blocks high so 5 blocks in total
building should be 16 blocks high because there are 3 members of the usbrbsurbs (not including bla).
easily expanable and modular.

We should make one with a capacity for 16 votes, so we're sure we won't run out of space in the near future imo.
There is plenty of space to build on anyway, outside Spawntown. You can mark an area near the Blue Bay Center for it if you want, or tell me the specifications of a building, which I can mark. The building should also have room for stairs, so the building itself can be modular and have space for more voting machines in the future, if it is extended. And an area where the polls are posted as well.

this is my opinion:

with stairs, it is possible to elaborately trick someone into dropping and item and them move it up with a block to "cheat"
with ladders, this is pretty impossible.

It is vertically modular and i posted the size specifications above.

16 votes? So this is for non usnnnrsnnbsrbsbbr members too?
If you wanted 16 slots, we'd need two seperate buildings

Why would we need two seperate buildings, we could just extend the building?

I have no idea what you mean with the stairs and ladders. :P What I meant was for access to multiple floors if the building is extended in height.

Can you make it horizontally modular instead of vertically?

because we'd hit the sky limit

I have no idea what you mean with the stairs and ladders.  What I meant was for access to multiple floors if the building is extended in height.

when you place a block where a dropped item is, you can move it. Glitch can be abused to move item all the way into vot slot.

Can you make it horizontally modular instead of vertically?

Completely horizontal? Would take up a lot of space and i'm not sure water currents would be very happy

to clear this up....this voting center is really for usbrsub members with the voting for using materials to spend on large projects. So why must it into 16 votes instead of just 3 or 4!

A single tower 21 blocks would have 3 or 4 votes and is very easily expandable.

If you want 16 votes for whatever reason, then two towers both 41 blocks high would be optimal
