AHAH! We need:
either, in xml an a, e, i, node, peri, and M tag or in the UI or whatever the right-click menu is called.

Cause, I can only find 1 orbital elements to cartesian coordinates converter. AND IT DOESN"T HAVE A UNIT! IT'S MADE UP!

Yes... On the to-do list:

Add the option to use orbital elements.

What's an orbital element?

What are you wanting to plot or use this feature for?

Well, I wanted to make PHA (not all just like PHA - E and F) and real comet orbits, os that I don't have to putit in GravSim and trasport it to US.

THey would be:
2009 EG2
2009 EF4
2009 FF
2009 FQ5

Where are you getting your data from?

Is there a standard way that the Orbital Elements are displayed? (So that I could write a parser that would ease the formatting on you).

I don't understand the next question.

AHA! You should make EVERY Iridium sattelite and that recent satelite crash

"(So that I could write a parser that would ease the formatting on you)."

What I mean was this:
Is there some way that orbital elements are written or some order they commonly show up that I could use so that you don't have to spend time formatting the data in order to get it into Universe Sandbox. I could write a parser (a function that pulls the various numbers out of some text) that would do this for you.

But maybe there isn't a standard way.

AHA! You should make EVERY Iridium sattelite and that recent satelite crash

The two satellites included in the Satellites system in Universe Sandbox are the two satellites that crashed, but I didn't take the time to figure out why it's not working exactly right.

Making the crash into a simulation is a great idea though.

A new idea.......2 new buttons
the first one: pass
: his path will be changed and it will pass the planet/star no matter how far away the object is.like: pass Selceo 2 the object will pass the planet
the second one:impact with
:his path will be changed and it will Impact with the planet/star no matter how far away the object is.like: impact with Selceo 2 it will now impact with Selceo 2.

it would be realy cool

I'm sure this has been mentioned but.... Updated User Interface.  Dan has already said he was going to do this eventually but it's what I want most. xD

Dan, I think that a vector showing the velocity of one body could be useful: when you add velocity to a body, it will go only in the direction it was going before (for example: if you create a planet near a star, it will start falling towards it and if you change the velocity, the direction won't change). If you add this vector, you could rotate the body and so knowing where it is going to

Simply showing the velocity vector would be fairly easy to add (and it's a common feature of 'gravity simulators' that Universe Sandbox is lacking).

I'll probably add this soon, but it might be a little longer before you'll be able to grab it with the mouse and move the vector around.

I would love an option to Reset time.  I don't mean Timescale but the time that shows on the top left.

It doesn't need to be dragged by the mause. We can use the rotation tool we already have

Be cool to have the ability to change textures. Be cool to have like Lava,Desert, and Terran types of Planets. Other than EARTH, GAS, ROCKS.

I have a cool idea. You could set up something that will show you where everything will be at exactly a certain place in time. For example: Our solar system right now, or 50 years from now. Even our fictional systems. Maybe when you leave and come back in a month, our systems will advance in time that far. That would be pretty sweet.

About the Solar sytem creator! I had this cool idea to make it form random planets, moons, asteroids and comets, but before it does (so it doesn't lag dramatically) choose to omit all bodies smaller than <100 km> for example, have it typeable! You choose in a dropdown menu, all bodies, asteroids, asteroids and comets, comets, moons, moons and asteroids, or moons and comets.
        ______
omit |moons     | smaller than [50 km]
        |asteroids|
        |comets    |
        |a/c          |
        |m/a         |
        |m/c         |

|drop-down box|
[editable by typing]

Ofc, then you would have to consider an body with a planet as a parent a moon, so then you would have to make US notice that...
Oh, and is period in the next update?

From distances:
Moons 100 km to 1000 km
Planets to 1000 km to 750000 km
Stars to  1000000 km to 20 AU
Galaxies to 10000 ly to 500000 ly
Superclusters from 12 mly to 75 mly
Universe is 45.6 bly in distance.
