I need an explanation.

Why is there a "Wiimote" control section here?

Was US compatible with the Wii at one point?

Also, unrelated, but what's the "landing point" function, and how does it work?

For the Wii, its possible that US might be capable for the Wii.

For the landing, it just lets you look at the sky and the objects in it. It also has a different angle.

The Nintendo Wiimote is a standard Bluetooth device and can be synced to your PC.

Universe Sandbox 1 had working Wiimote support using this library:

The Wiimote support in Universe Sandbox 2 probably still kind-of works, but I haven't tested it in months.
