What am I working on?

I'm in the middle of updating the UI system from the now defunct nUI to Squid.

It's a big job because it requires careful modification of about 120 different files that make up the code for the UI.

The look of the UI will be more or less the same, but it should run faster and text boxes will finally work as expected. It will also be easier to make future changes and improvements.

I do have to concur here.  Will there be ctrl+a to select entire boxes (useful when the text is longer than the box)?

I'll hook that up for the next release. In the mean time a triple click will select all the text in a text box.

And with the upgrade to Squid the new text boxes will scroll properly too.

Just a quick update. I'm still working on the conversion. It's taking longer than I wish it was, but I'm close to being done. I look forward to working on something else (like save and new file format features).

This UI (user interface) update will fix many outstanding issues:

- UI rendering speed is almost ten times as fast as before (yep 10x)
- International Keyboard Support (fixes the y,z switch on the German keyboard and French users can now type in numbers)
- Resolves controls and menus overlapping improperly
- Resolves crashes from clicking on invisible controls (that shouldn't have been able to be clicked in the first place)
- Text boxes now scroll and work as expected
- Buttons and icons fade in and out when you hover over them

Otherwise the UI will be generally the same in appearance.
