as shown by illustration, comparing to cities and arty does not work well? am i right?

so there is your version of seeing things (is it?), and my version. neither way of seeing things breaks the manual rules as far as i can tell, but from your point of view, my version is not right?

you said the details that arty could not fire the turn it was built/upgraded with that upgrade were logical and not needed. I don't think it is possible to see this however, from just the manual.
from my point of view, you can
1. build arty
2. bombard

from your point of view, you can
1. bombard
2. build arty

since there is nothing that says it's one or the other, i can't assume one or the other. However, the manual says artillery level 'a' can attack level 'b' cities distance 'c' away. So there is no fault with my building arty and using it at the same turn.

The fault is the same fault as in building a level 1 city and getting a resource for it. I don't think I understand your drawings and I'm not going to waste my time on them, try to misrepresent my views all you want, this is how the rules are going to be whether you like it or not.

I'm not trying to make a straw man or confuse you with drawings. i thought perhaps they could get the point across better, but maybe not.

If i have an empty zone. i can build a level 1 city. then, at the beginning of next round, i gain income from the level 1 city plus the zone default of 1 production. (right?) How is this different from an artillery base, which i make and then bombard a zone the same round?

Before, when i mentioned i wanted to change the revolution tactic/exploit, you were concerned with it affecting anyone's strategy. We only changed it because you couldn't plan your strategy around it. However, i can and have planned my strategy around my artillery, so it is unfair to modify the rules.

I don't think you're here to distort the rules in your favor. I just think it was unreasonable to change the rules with no advance notice and was asking to maybe figure out your intentions. You yourself noted that the rules didn't include anything and i found it impossible to figure out what was missing. And i decided to bombard Matty this turn anyway because i needed to. I'd be calm anyway, if we could push back the rule change. Anyway, if you're still going to leave, then, ironically, i will have no problem with the rule going in effect next round. And is it a thing to have 1 player bombard a zone multiple times and have it go down multiple levels?

so, is my turn for round 32 still invalid? Is that even a thing, to make a rule and then because of that rule, to have a turn invalid them same round? It'll be fine if the rule goes into effect immediately after.
