Just stars...
« on: August 11, 2014, 10:56:54 AM »
When I open the game, the only thing I can do is rotate a star field and open the in-game steam hub. I can't quit out of the game, even through a forced quit.

Then there is a video chip or drivers not updated that is not compatible with the simulator.

If you're getting visible UI, please use the report tool so we can get your error logs. Otherwise, can you please post your logs, by following the guide provided below?

We're trying to track down the source of this one. Thanks!

I was unable to find any logs, going though both Steam and the library. The screenshot posted is what is shown in the local files of the game, and what the game looks like while open.

The log files on a Mac, are not in the installation folder, they are in the library folder instead.

-Mac OS X : Typically located here ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

The full path to your library will be something like this, starting from the root of your main drive.

 /Users/YourUsername/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

OK, I found the logs. This message:
"NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
  at Camera6DOF.FindClosestBody () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at Camera6DOF.Update () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

(Filename:  Line: -1)"
comprises about 97% of the logs.

Ah, okay. That gives me a bit more information. Do you mind sending me the full log though? There's usually more information in there that can help, besides just the error. Such as what happened directly before it, and what type of hardware you're running.

Thanks!
