Superheating baseballs

I ran the orbiting bowling ball simulation and noticed that the odd behaviour of the collisions superheats objects weighing no more than a few hundred grams. This is probably known about already but I figured its worth mentioning.

When two balls rub on one another they gain heat (even if just a little). The thing is that once they got hotter, they don't lose that energy they've gained in the game. Interesting find
