This is a gif that the clouds is still there in the collision.

Asteroids can clear clouds on collisions.

Yeah, if climate simulation isnt turned off you can't evaporate the oceans and get rid of the clouds, it's most likely an odd bug or that collisions with the climate feature arent finished yet, the latter is most likely.

my collisions are completely different ...
Because dust does not interact with gravity :-\
However disables the climate.
