When will US2 be released/do we get our alpha codes?

Ok. As a game developer who was unlucky enough to miss the private alpha signups, I'm kinda ticked off

As a (very young) Programmer (C#, Ruby, Java, VB.NET) this game - in fact - every game had a lot of time spent on it. Just because you missed the sign up, it doesn't give you the right to get pissed.

I had the same feeling missing the alpha sign up of Minecraft PE. But hey, I got over it.

If you are a real programmer, you should've understood and kept this to yourself.

Now, Now, let's not go off making assumptions. He's probably worked in a larger group on an easier-to-make game, making it have a fast release. Though, it would be nice to have some evidence. What game did you work on?

You are very correct. A bunch of these "I wouldn't have made this thread if I got the alpha but I didn't so now I'll start crapping about it" threads are being made lately, and I can't understand why.

I'd say be patient. I don't think GA runs like that. Alpha 10 will just be another alpha. They don't run off of special number or increments. Sorry, you just need to be patient. Also, there will be no public alpha. There will be a public beta for everyone who pre-orders the game.

Please, you missed my point. I said that this group is too impatient because of two reasons. One all is see posted from them is "when is the key coming". Notice how I say "all I see from these testers..." That means only the impatient ones post about this. I rarely see you post so how am I supposed to know you were even a tester? And two I rarely see new alpha testers post be patient, that I've see once or twice. Please that fit that you just threw was inappropriate. You could have asked nicely to rephrase what I said.

Yes Bla has control of threads, but he isn't a developer. Developers know everything. I know they do share some insight with Bla but not everything I believe.

We released Alpha 8 to our current batch of testers earlier this week. Once they've had a few days to test, and we've fixed some known bugs, we'll be sending out keys. Other then that, we don't have a specific time frame.

I'm a tester from the new batch, and I'm calmed, I'd like to say to my fellow testing colleagues that do not rush, it'll be ready when it is ready, good things are worth the wait, complaining won't make it come faster... and stuff like these...
I say this because I think the new batch of testers are starting to give a bad image of themselves to all the people here, and some of us are not that "hasty"... there are a lot of things to do while the codes come to us
