Mainly because this suspense is making all of us go OCD

Yeah the suspense kills you, because you really don't know if you will be chosen to be an Alpha tester or not and that sort of makes me and everyone else nervous about it.

Also because you don't know how good everyone elses applications are. If everyone else basically said "hi plz give me US3 because i really wanna play it but i'm never gonna report bugs hehehe" it will be easy to get in

Me too. I hope so, but if you have updated some informations (age, country, etc) they will check that newest.

Knowing the internet it's pretty likely some people actually did write it that way begging to get in, atleast i tryed to put in a decent application :P

Yeah, if i remember C7 said before that it'd be something like a week or less before they choose the testers.

I just wish I had mentioned more about the actual testing. It's a bit idiotic to expect that in the application, though. Imagine if you were applying to be a chef at mcdonalds, you probably wouldn't say "I promise to flip lots of burgers, I won't just play with the stove!" because applying for the job already implies that you will do that. If you weren't going to flip burgers, why would you apply just to be fired in a day for not doing anything? You would say your qualifications. Same thing here. Developers, please be rational and choose testers based on skill (knows a lot about astronomy), not just if they say they will report bugs.

Meh, what's the point of ranting, the developers probably won't read this,

We've got a couple collision bugs that we want to get sorted before we release Alpha 8... we'll be picking and emailing everyone shortly after the new update (although we don't know how long fixing the bugs will take).

Yeah, when I  say "I WANT US2 ALPHA SO I CAN HAVE LOTS OF FUN AND PLAY WITH IT!" it actually means "I want US2 alpha so I can purposely look for bugs and report them."
