Atmospheric and Oceanic editors?
« on: May 26, 2014, 06:24:05 AM »
If I'm correct, Earth's oceans used to be red due to the large amount of hydrocarbons.
In the movie Alien Planet, Darwin IV's oceans are purple because of a layer of amoebae sealing them from further evaporation.

It would be awesome to be able to select what plants/animals/civilization/bacteria convert what gas into what gas, thus eventually changing the atmosphere and it's color.

I think that an simple atmospheric-ocean color editor would be good for the moment.
I think this must be really an implemented feature !

Yes, this is a must for artistic users.

Of course, girly-girls are going to make everything pink. And then call the planet Barbietopia.

why is it your concern if people express their feelings through an action you won't even watch

This sounds awesome, but complicated.

I think that an simple atmospheric-ocean color editor would be good for the moment.

A color editor for atmospheres, oceans, and surface life is definitely something we'll consider.
