I consider Universe Sandbox, Binary System option not work. Or I don't know how binary orbit are working.
What I am doing.
Starting empty simulation. Placing Sun first.
I lock Sun's position in it's orbit menu.
Then put with Auto-Orbit enabled Earth about 60 days around orbit around Sun.
I edit properties of Earth and change it's orbit to 365 days (I typed "1 year").
I place another Earth a bit further from first one and let simulation flow.
So I can find out if they influence themselves. Not. I waited till they were "in-line".
Selected both. I clicked on "Add Barycenter" and then "Make Binary Orbit".
What I am expecting.
The 2 Earth's will orbit virtual body called "Barycenter" and so called "Barycenter" will orbit around Sun.
What I am getting.
"Barycenter" is always directly between the two planets. Both planets, has gone for no velocity and then they started moving towards Sun (supposedly by gravity).
Now correct me. Is that what I am expecting the "Binary Orbit" or this function has malfunctioned?
