The thing is that in this process they keep a lot of things secret to stop others from finding out first (patents for example or secret recepies), or simply don't share their knowledge which others could benefit from. If everybody shared their knowledge and discoveries and cooperated instead, I think that would lead to more advancements.

Well I can see the need for patents in the capitalist system. Consider just Universe Sandbox, if it cannot patent to at least some extent, then everyone could copy the game and give it freely to everybody else or sell it themselves and Dan would have no way to live from working on the game other than from donations.

Not that I know your alternative system to it, you can tell us about it. I don't have to ask you questions about it if you don't want it.

Ethanthova has a massive burocracy that tracks every company and it's actions, when they get to a certain size, they are assimilated by the government as a public enterprise. they still get to have most of the control, but everything they do can be looked up by the general public via a transparency resource.

Eeh, not really. they can still accumulate wealth but any corruption and such will be publicly exposed.
Everybody gets the basics, a roof, access to food, a tv, and internet access at it's most simplest. From this you can live, if you desire, you work, acquire currency which allows you to add and upgrade to these.
