to be honest if you're lighting your entire city with wood (coal?) burning torches emitting a 2300K black body spectrum, you will get those colors

Oh! Oh! I know why! It's because you're in positive x and z, which has almost twice as much ores as the other areas.

i made this much of the 16 concrete types in chromatic order (starting from white)

4559, 969, 1225, 4545, 1819, 5569, 3079, 4931, 2671, 3137, 5935, 4363, 7287, 1863, 2277, 2533

light blue and orange are underestimated by 100-200 each because there are still some blocks of those color in the blast chamber pipeline. but adding this all up, it turns out that from 18 double chests of sand and gravel, i got 16.5 double chests of concrete -- i assume the rest was lost from imperfections in the blast chamber, transport system, and sorter, and from when i was still experimenting with the system. 90% recovery rate is lower than i was expecting, but not catastrophically bad.

Part of a new multi-year project to build a nice and convenient horse road to Desertopia.

>multi-year

ah yes, why do what can be done in an afternoon when you can do it over the course of a decade instead

Year 3

Road is 100% complete to Spheron Rilmu, this is the bridge over the Timbaltor Plains. All that is left for the entirety of the horse road from Aahrus to Desertopia is the ground road through Spheron Rilmu + a single tunnel.

Of course by year 3, elytra has replaced all forms of travel in the short to medium range so this road is just a prestige infrastructure project..which is why its made fully from iron and sea lanterns.

auto exp farm with 24 furnaces (usually 4 active at a time). each slot is setup to store 1.5 elytra repairs worth (320 exp), and farm generates 0.5 exp/second, so it can repair an elytra every 7 minutes

usage instructions: go up to a furnace which is not smelting anything. check that the hopper below it is full. open the furnace interface and hit q on the green dye to throw one dye away and collect all the exp. then importantly, press the button corresponding to that furnace

Here are some high scores from the New Year Maze event.
I haven't looked into details for whether other players than Yqt and Fiah spent time during the event being inactive (logged out or outside the maze). If you want me to check this and you think let me know.

I have changed the maze somewhat based on the event, and it is now more secured against people falling down into previous levels and getting confused, the levels from 5 onwards are changed to be more equal in length, the lava river jumps have been made less challenging, and the end of the maze has been extended.

It is now open for speedrun challenges or competition events. Let me know if you want to try speedrunning it, then we can arrange it.
Or if you're interested in another event like the New Year challenge some weekend.

I tried the maze once and speedran it in 16 minutes and 37 seconds.
