That's another option, but I also don't want people to venture out of the world border and generate new land. I also had an idea that there could be multiple portals to Nostalgia, for example one in Desertopia, and then if someone felt nostalgic one day, they could walk from Desertopia to Epicland through Nostalgia instead of the overworld.

As far as I know you can't set a non-square world border, and Nostalgia isn't square-shaped.

However spectator mode would also let you see things which would be harder in survival, giving a potential advantage that could be used in the regular Overworld, so I think it's probably best to keep it in adventure mode.
