Suggestion/question: Collisions at sea
« on: March 01, 2015, 06:57:42 AM »
I'm sorry if this has been up before; logic dictates it's at least been thought and talked about, but just to be safe: I'm having great fun with collisions, however the feature would be even more enjoyable if US simulated a more realistic kind of impact when bodies hit water-filled portions of a planet. I guess this would take some work to implement, but would surely be a huge improvement as well. Either way, great work guys.

I think it'd be nice. Maybe if a large object hit it the oceans would turn to steam and make more clouds.

Depending on the size of the striking object usually the collision part heats up to the massive degrees. The problem is i think due to massive energy release and the brightness it will be impossible to actually 'watch' this.

Yeah, it would be cool experiencing continents getting flooding and things like that. Great idea.

Continents already flood, due to simulated water displacement by the new crater and subsequent melting of ice across the planet.
