Radius = Diameter?
« on: May 02, 2010, 10:09:18 AM »
The default radius of the sun in Universe Sandbox is 1.39 M km, but on Wikipedia it says a solar radius is 695,500 km - which is about half of that.
When I edit an .xml file, and use the <diameter>-thing, it uses that value in the radius field.

Shouldn't it be labeled diameter instead?

Radius is half the diameter. The radius of a sun in US 2 is actually the diameter. So it should be labeled Diameter.

Oh wow... you're right.

The icon show diameter, but the tooltip says radius. It should say diameter.

I'll fix that in the next release.

Thanks for pointing this out.
