I tested it in an alpha 7 preview and didn't see any effects. Added 10²⁵ kg of organics to Mars after adding water to form some oceans. Also tried setting the organics mass on Earth to 0. Didn't see any changes on the surfaces, so it's probably not implemented yet (or the changes would appear over a timescale of more than a few days).
I can confirm organics aren't really implemented yet according to Dan.

Yes, the version the developers used in their videos seem to have some changes compared to the version I used. They probably made some changes in the meantime, that could explain why you see different collission mechanics in them.

Stability maybe? I'm also wondering why we can't get these experimential builds. BTW, if you right click the game title in steam, go to properties and beta tab, the beta drop down list does have 'experimential-', but it doesn't actually do anything.

Piracy is impossible. A steam key is needed to play the game.

Never intended for this much confusion.

The video, which is being referred to, is on the same channel as the previous one posted in this forum, so it shouldn't really be that odd.

I have previously not recorded videos to be shared with the public, but recently realized that we had too few of those and that it didn't take that long, when I did not have to worry about a smooth talk track ;-)

To minimize further confusion, I have created a channel named Greenleaf, and will be using that instead of my old very general purpose JoeTaicoon. The new SPH video is only at Greenleaf.

Perhaps the confusion added is greater than the benefits gained from the peek-inside, so now I really don't know...

As to temperature... the moon impact, in this video, is at a very shallow angle, barely grazing Earth, and it doesn't deposit as much energy as the head-on collision Chad showed.  That said, there are certainly other issues. Thus the alpha in the name.

Somebody with a steam key could pirate it. Highly unlikely, but possible.

That said when this is released to the public, Dan and Co. will have a about a week if they're lucky before the game is cracked by somebody.
