Great, the longer we wait, the better it is, and the alpha-thing is always good for the impatient... And the alpha thing solves the problem.

I've added code to the upcoming version that prevents the Windows screen saver from activating if Universe Sandbox is the focused window. But the current version doesn't automatically disable the screen saver. In summary... Current version: No Upcoming version: Yes Is this what you mean? And you're from India. Awesome. Welcome.

Dan, is it possible to make US not draw anything you are not looking at? Specifically Trails, Hill spheres.
Or maybe not draw if you are zoomed out too far to see the hill sphere. Though not sure how this currently works.
Just performance drops like a rock when I turn hill spheres on.

I'll release an unfinished, buggy, undocumented alpha version no later than October 1, 2009.
No! that is not good.

No! that is not good. The alpha version will be accessible via a link that I share in the forums. This version will be separately installed and run from the main public release (the version you have installed now). Universe Sandbox won't automatically upgrade until the final release in December.
