Hi. I'm Needlesteamer, and I'm new here. Obviously. But I'm having a problem with the Steam Version of Universe Sandbox whilst using VMware Fusion 4. When I launch UBox, I get an error which reads something along lines like this:
Universe Sandbox has detected 0.0 bytes of usable texture memory.
(which may not be enough.)
You may experience problems.
Can someone help me solve this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Needlesteamer (Banner of Aperture on Steam)
EDIT: I have tested this with normal UBox, and the same problem occurs. It's probably a problem involving VMware.

This is due to a video card incompatibility or old drivers. Can you update your video driver?
And if you're using VMware that introduces all kinds of interesting issues that could make this not work.

I'm getting a similar message when trying to start my brand new Universe Sandbox on Parallels Desktop for Mac for my MacBook Pro (OS 10.7.4)
I'm assuming this is also a video driver issue. What do I need to get to make this work?

You need a PC/Laptop running Windows.
-
That happens because vmware install virtual video drivers and will not work with any game.
