Title: How to set the time? (Not as in the speed of it)
Post by: rciandes on March 20, 2012, 01:17:14 AM
I am wondering if there is a way to set the time to a specific date on my simulation. For instance, instead of having it say 1678.329032 years. is there a way I can set it to something different to say "2000-01-03 12:00 am"? It would be really nice to have this feature. Since I see that it is set for the simulation "Our Solar System" why not be able to set it for your own system?

No what he means is to change the time format so that instead of 1678.329032 years, it would be 1678-02-27 7:18pm or something.

Yes, I actually figured it out. you need to convert your ubox file into an xml file and edit the settings file and place "yyyy-mm-dd 00:00.000" you have to put numbers in where y, m, and d are and this is edited where the <date> </date> is. Then you save and convert the xml file or files, back into a ubox file. Pretty simple ^^

Yep. That's how you do it. Sorry that's the only way right now. We're working to make this kind of things easier in the new version.

Ya, I noticed that when you go backwards in time the years go negative and weird things start to happen to the time.
