Title: Types of Alliteration
Post by: TheMooCows on April 03, 2021, 01:00:09 AM
1. Basic Alliteration - Must have the first letters of each word be the same.

For example: Pterodactyl's pilfer peanuts.

2. Good Alliteration - A two word combination where the first letters both are the same, and are pronounced the same.

For example: Purple pineapples.

3. Excellent Alliteration - A more than two word combination where the first letters are the same and are pronounced the same.

For example: Purple pineapples perused perfect parrots.

Incorrect versions of Alliteration - A combination of two or more words where the first letters are different but make the same sound.

For example: Pterodactyl's tear.

1 is bad

2 3 and incorrect are good

alliteration should be based on the sound - pterodactyls peel pneumatic phones has 4 completely different word-initial sounds, even though they all start with the same letter! it doesn't have the same ring to it!
