Yes, you can <b>just</b> go on Galaxiki, but on there, it is preset planets and moons... here, you can put how many you want, the orbits and stuff! Yes, you can also use universe sandbox, but then you don't have the information about them! Describe them!
You can use Spore animated GIFs for the planets, and take pictures in Spore of the System, even base your system off of a system you found in Spore!
Oh, btw, you can put Spore videos.

Haha, except mine... I'm so stuck creating everything for my imaginary space empire, The Blalandish Space Empire. I want to make my own units for everything, so I haven't figured the planets temperatures, distances or anything out yet. This is a nightmare of complexness. Okay, I have figured out the temperatures, just to admit it. And at least I have a time system! But I still got to create so much... Aaaargh...
Sorry, but it'll take some time before all the data will be added to the Wiki - I haven't made it yet, and nothing may contradict with each other. So, if my year is 542 Earth-days around my imaginary O-star, the distance between Pola (the star) and Noxium (the planet) will be fixed by the mass of the star, or the other way around. My math-nightmare. ??????

Ah, you don't reallhave to do real math, just compare it to panets orbit ing at similar distances and add or subtract as needed. ;)

I'm sorry but... if you want life on the planet the days are too less to be at the right distance (the planet is burning!) and an O-class however has a quite short life time (a few millions years) so life cannot evolve there (this is if life evolved there of course).

It won't solve the problem to shoot hydrogen into the star, because it still will take billions of years for life to evolve, and because at a point where I can collect enough hydrogen to keep a B-star alive, it would be easier for The Empire to live in diffrent solar systems anyways. :P

First you need to have launched a ship... Perhaps, owning a system close to mine and Northern_wolf's? AUH8c is the way to go, btw, you can have launchd the probe/ship in the past so that it get's here today or something. Read Soalr Date, Rules (new), Things To Do, and How To Do It (new)

The problem is just that my Spore hardly works on my computer, but I'll try to make a new species that don't have anything to do with my beloved Empire. :P
I won't add them to Noxium's evolution chain or food net or anything, I swear. :P

EDIT: NeutronStar, I see you want to make lists of the nearest stars near your solar systems, so I got this idea:
What about if we use UniverseSandbox to make a file which shows the systems, with the real distances between them? Ofc it will require much hard measurement and so on, before we hopefully get the ruler in the next update, but I think it's dangerous to begin filling the pages with nearby stars and their distances before it's too late and we can't make it in a program or on a map or something.
I don't know if you've made a map or simulation though, but I can try to make one and share the file if you want. :)
Then we can add new peoples' star systems to the simulation and write the nearest stars ourselves, when the ruler gets implemented into the program ofc. :)

I can try to make a system, just don't add more stars into it or it will become impossible (the more stars the harder it will be, because all of them are related). :)
Edit: I made it! :D I've also placed Ixra, my star, into the system! :) I named it "Sosycrewi Galaxy" (From Solar System Creator Wiki), you can rename it if you want or add more bodies... If you want me to, I can also add some of the written star articles into it. I've zeroed the gravity to prevent the stars from moving.
Also, please don't make planets in the system, if they're meant to orbit the stars (and not stand completely still). At all, please don't place moving bodies into it, because there's no gravity. :P
This is meant for a 3D star map of the Solar System Creator Wiki, the planetary systems could be made individually, also to prevent it from being too complex... Bla bla bla... Here it is!

Deoxy99, that's your own choise. But if you want to have real distances to our stars, it would be much easier to read from the official system we're making for the wiki, instead of adding the star to the system after it has been written inside the wiki. :)
You don't have to add planets, only your star. I can also do it for you if you want, or NeutronStar if he wants to, he can add colors to stars.

I found out. The media folder in the same parent folder as the my systems folder.
But I still need to add my planets to the system. I'll do that later, I g2g now and my com has some trouble in Universe Sandbox, probably because of my new graphics card which 0wnz everything. But is too new... And bla bla bla. I'll do it later.
Ok, done. I couldn't have Universe Sandbox running for more than a minute without my screen becoming black or freezing, so I had to edit the XML file. I tried, but last time I checked it didn't work. Since then I changed the status of the Ixra-planets from being planets to moons. I hope it works.
P.S. How did you make the textures if you made them yourself?

One I found online, and you know that thing called astrosyntheisis? Download the "demo". It's not much of a demo, because you can do everything but the one major thing. Save. If you generate a solar system, you can add more planets and moons, look at your system in motion. Right-click on a planet's name in the sidebar, then select "Generate Planet Surface". It will give you a few options and then it is there. Find the Astrosynthesis files in it's folder in (i think) Documents\Astrosynthesis. Since, you can't save a system, you can just drag it to media and rename it (they are called FSDY87sdahFSD8J.jpg and stuff), or if you ever want to use it again in astro, then just copy the file.

Edit 2: Your planets... are... larger... than YOUR STAR!!!!!! XML code error I guess...

EDIT: Yes, I had forgot to divide by 1000 at all planets except Roxna. I hope it works now. If you check it out, can you tell me something about their orbits? Are they nearly circular and do they orbit at the same plane? I tried to make them near-circular, except Roxna which hopefully is a little more eccentric.
EDIT: I drew a map for Laktra, so I've uploaded it. I've changed the file to use the map. Remember to add .png to the end if it get's deleted by your com or something (the filename should be Laktra.png).
EDIT: I tested it and your textures work! I can also see my planets, but I think my texture for Laktra had a wrong size. I've uploaded a new one which is 1024x512 pixels.
EDIT: Oh, it wasn't the problem. You have to change <(/)Appearance> to <(/)Texture>! It works now!

I've changed the front page so there is an area with the current date, month and year for referance, and then a manually changeable date, month and year equal to the changeable solar date, placed above the reference date. So the equation always will be true, when not updated, and it always will be easy to find out what solar date it really is. If you prefer the older version, just remove my changes or tell me to do it.
I have also used something called "nation strength" for the nations on my planet, should we make it an universal system or should it be for my articles only? If it was universal, I will create an universal article about it, otherwise probably a Laktra-article.

@ NeutronStar: It works by estimating how strong a nation would be, based on it's military, land, infrastructure and technology (plus smaller factors). There's no formula, but we could make a simple guide, for example:
A nation with an army of 10,000 soldiers with 1950-like weapons would give a nation strength of about 2.
Etc. The most important would be the military strength, since the nation can have pretty much any size and technology, but without military it wouldn't be able to defend itself. The military uses the land, infrastructure and technology to become stronger and give a higher strength.

No. I'll try to make it understandable and comparable though. We can't really make a formula for strength - of course, we could say that "the nation has the power to destroy with a force of 10 GJ", but I think that's even less comparable and understandable since it would require a calculator on your desk instead of a determinator in your brain every time you had to update it.

Yes, that was a good idea. We can have advanced nation strength, abbreviated ANS, and just nation strength, NS. The tech thing could be a multiplier, plus the other factors. There could actually be a formula for it, where the number of soldiers is divided by a number and then multiplied by a technology strength, infrastructure strength and land strength.
Hmm. A system could be, make up a military strength number, technology strength number, land strength number and infrastructure strength number, MS, TS, LS and IS, then add them together and divide by four to get the NS.
We could have a planetary strength, which could be the nation strength of all nations added together.
And at last, an empire strength. If a nation has made it into space and got mulitiple planets, the strength of all the areas it has.
But with the ANS, was your idea then to make it a choise whether to use ANS or NS as a measurement for nation strength?
By the way, how often are you on Spore? I was thinking about making an adventure in GA with your Tripe crashing down in Industrix on Laktra, where the player plays as either the Tripe or a Zarva and then has to follow the history (try to repair the spacecraft in the lab, perhaps launch it or experience The Kalva Nation invade the bunker, and what the future might bring).
But the problem is, I've tried to search for the Tripe and remove you from my friends list and add you again, but my com just won't download the Tripe again. If you can, it would be great if you would upload another Tripe, or send me the image made by the game in My Spore Creations so I can upload one (I will give you credit for it, but you might prefer to upload it yourself?). I will continue trying to get the Tripe though.

Hmm, the advanced nation strength...
Isn't it a bit simple to say a pandemic gives all countries minus 0,1 or 0,2 nation strength pr. solar date, or that a war would give minus 0,5? I mean, it would depend completely on how big the war was, or how deadly the pandemic was.
For example, compare World War 2 to the current war in Afghanistan. They wouldn't do the same from the nation strength.
Or compare the Spanish flu from 1918 to the flu pandemic in 2009, they wouldn't do the same either.
I think people need some more freedom with the ANS system.

Okay, it was just an idea, it's your choise.
I just got another idea... We could make an universal system for pages on the wiki, like this:
Stars have names that can be chosen, like Ixra, SGIKLT-41267-TXNXKL-12, etc.
Planets have titles that are their stars name plus a number (or a letter if you prefer that), for example Ixra 1/Ixra a/Ixra A, SGIKLT-41267 1 etc. The planet closest to the star has the number 1/a/A, and so on. On the pages, the planets can have the name the owner wants, and there could be a disambiguation page for all planets with the same names.
Moons could perhaps be named similar to planets, so our moon would be called:
Sun c 1. Aisambiguation pages could contain links to the name of moons aswell.
Redirects could be placed before disambiguations, so if my planet Laktra has the title Ixra 3, there will be a redirect from the title Laktra to Ixra 3, until another person creates a planet or moon called Laktra in another system, where a disambiguation page will have to be created.
Wait, I got another idea. They could also be named this way. (Example with The Moon, Earth and The Sun:)
Sun page: The Sun
Earth page: Earth (The Sun)
Moon page: The Moon (Earth, The Sun).
Or perhaps this way?

I'll convert my pages to the system. We should consider making a guide so everyone can name their pages that way.
And shouldn't we make a system for naming nations now that we've begun?

No, it's simple.
Instead of going from 0 to 9, you go 0 to 1.
When a "place" gets full (1), you add a new "place" and put a zero where the old one was.
For example.
101 - note the four's place is full, but there are numbers after it, the two's place is empty, and the one's place is full, so we look at that one first.
110 - We carry over to the two's and empty the one's place.
111 - No we add one to the one's. Note, they are all full...
1000 - So we empty them all and add 1 to the eight's place.
Does that help, or do we have to use hexadecimal? *slaps ruler to hand*

I can't see the logo.
I think there is something wrong with the file, if it's this (http://yoursolarsystem.wikia.com/wiki/File:Wiki.png) one. It shows a picture that could be the logo, but if I click on it it turns into the default Wikia logo. I think it's because it's called Wiki.png. Perhaps that's reserved for the default logo or something.

Hm, I can only say it doesn't on my laptop and my stationary. I don't know what causes it then. :(
Edit 20100212-2046: Now I can see the logo on the site. It looks good. I think the borders between the images are a little bit sharp, especially the border at the hurricane though.
I think hurricanes are slightly off topic to the wiki's subject, but It's your choise. I will only come up with suggestions, so my suggestions to the logo is to make the borders blend better into each other (like only using pictures with black borders), and perhaps to use The Big Dark Spot on Neptune to replace for the hurricane (since that's also a hurricane I think - a pretty big one of them).
There is also a white area under the galaxy, perhaps it could be filled with black. And at last, I think it would be better to have a black background behind the text and the polygons in the right side.
Perhaps the picture with the probe and Earth should be placed in the bottom instead, so that Earth has a more natural cut instead of being cut off by another part of the logo.
That was it. I like the logo though. Well made. :)
Edit 20100212-2115: Btw, all those systems in the available systems menu... Do you want to create their articles, or is the claimer meant to make their articles? Or should I make articles for some of them? We should aim at reaching 100 articles, so our Sosycrewi can be featured by Wikia.

Yes, you can <b>just</b> go on Galaxiki, but on there, it is preset planets and moons... here, you can put how many you want, the orbits and stuff! Yes, you can also use universe sandbox, but then you don't have the information about them! Describe them!
You can use Spore animated GIFs for the planets, and take pictures in Spore of the System, even base your system off of a system you found in Spore!
Oh, btw, you can put Spore videos.

I recommend that we replace the links on the main page of the wiki with a table that contains the links, possibly more links. The table will act like a menu taking up only space in the width, instead of the four lines containing only one link each, using a big part of the height.

I think it's dangerous to give the field colors though. Perhaps there should be a list of player systems instead, but it can be on the main page when we aren't that many. I just think it's best to organize it in a way that would allow "infinite" players to use the wiki. :)

You can always keep the names within the pages, like I call my planet Laktra, but in the link to the page I just write [[Ixra c|Laktra]] most of the time. Then you can keep the name "Laktra" everywhere except in the name of the page if you want, but the page is more logical with this system, plus it's universal for the whole wiki, and it makes space for many more articles. :)
But I think it would be a very good idea to join the system. :)

The Bla wiki is a wiki about everything related to Blaland and the later interstellar empire that formed from it. It's generally something I made instead of a homepage. Then I write my quotes in there, and many things... :P

The Zarvas don't have the technology yet, and the research has nearly stopped completely because of the plakno pandemic. Right now, all the nations try to research a cure for the disease, and use all their ressources for that purpose... Except that The Yellow Empire has declared war on The Kalva Nation, resulting in the biggest war in the history of the planet.

I don't know if it's the meaning, but on the TAAA Catalog of extrasolar planets (http://yoursolarsystem.wikia.com/wiki/TAAA_Catalog_of_extrasolar_planets), the letters of the planets in the Ixra system seem to be swapped, visible on the SMA. The letters are based on the SMA, the planet closest to Ixra is called Ixra a, the next one Ixra b and so on, but on that page they follow another system. Is that the meaning?

On my page, the Tripe follow the way that in real life we discover extrasolar planets (b is first, c is next, d... e... f...). It's just for the reference of stuff happening related to the Tripe. They know the planets named that way.

Okay, so. I ran a simulation of your Ixra system in Gravity Simulator, for reasons you will see. I then found out that yes... Your system is unstable. You do not have to change it, but Klifa and Klaftra exchange orbits then they re exchange (putting them into normal orbit) but only for a short time, because then, the exchange AGAIN, then Klifa gets thrown off into an extreme orbit, here is the simulation images:

It's highly recommended, because it makes us able to measure the distances from your star to all other stars in the system, which makes it possible to make travel times based on it.

If you want to split it, you can. I think it's fine the way it is and think it's good that it's long. But it's your wiki, and I might not continue with my Ixra system. I simply don't have time to calculate nation strength and edit maps every day (now that I don't go to school anymore, but a gym that is much further away and begins at 8:00 instead of 8:10, so I have to cycle/bike at 7:20 rather than 7:45, giving me much less time in the morning, as I still get up at 6:00 and usually am at the computer at 6:30 to 6:40).
I could consider getting up earlier, but then I would have to take the time from the evening, and when I decided to stay up at 6:00 instead of 7:00, I went to bed at 21:00 instead of 22:00... I don't want to go to bed at 20:00 or something, that just sounds insane. :P

The new Wikia fails at some points, but they will disable the other skins soon, I think, so the only thing to do is to adapt to the new skin. I tried with my Bla Wiki, it's annoying because they've set strict limits on the menu system, which is now just three buttons with room for 10 pages each. But if we/you make a clever article naming system, create many links, and maybe a sitemap, it might be useable.

Hmm, wow. I have an idea: If you make your bases keep the purple and dark blue colors, you just make the territory you cure a third color, then I can make nations in those territories. I don't want too many nations on Laktra, as it'll become very difficult to handle after the vacation probably, when I don't have so much time.

DANG! Making a language is addicting. I'm greatly improving the Tripian language with epic knowledge. As far as I know, it's a tripartite language, and it only has light inflection.
English inflects moderatley I guess, and alot of language inflect crazily.

I think It's more due to me being too lazy to include religion in their history along with ideologies. Zarvans aren't meant to be an especially rational and Scientific-focused species, which is the reason it is rejected by my Blaxians.
In fact, I think it's worth seperating theism and religion. I think Buddhism could be called an atheistic religion, for example. Antitheism would literally mean being against belief in gods, and antireligion against religion... But usually religions and gods go well together.

b, c and f in my system are rocky planets, Korr (c), being the densest.
e could be an icy planet or an ice giant. It is an ice giant due to it's large mass.
d is a gas giant. Clearly.

News from Laktra:
The Second Free States continues to expand and is still considered the strongest nation on the planet.
The Red Community rediscovers the old capital of The Kalva Nation and grows at a great rate, being almost as strong as New Workers Union. It meets The Orange Community at it's eastern border.
New Kykanta grows only slightly, and the Kykanta-Tripian Nation only minimally, with no new land to expand on. The lands bordering them seem to be friendly to them, having similar forms of government.

New Kykanta grows only slightly, and the Kykanta-Tripian Nation only minimally, with no new land to expand on. The lands bordering them seem to be friendly to them, having similar forms of government.
How should the Tripe communicate to New Kykanta that they want some room for the Kykanta-Tripian Nation to expand west? The nation will create a research project to create translators, so that I can have the Zarvas of the Kykanta-Tripian Nation ask for land from New Kykanta.

Done, but they are a and b, because Bla created the naming conventions. The planets on our wiki start on a. Moons are just roman numerals. You can always call Keiyu b and Raia c, but the links will just be 1 letter down. My page does that Korr is planet c for the Tripe, and so, you made meteor showers rain down on their planet.

I recommend downloading a fractal terrain program like this one: http://www.ridgenet.net/~jslayton/wilbur.html
It has a problem with putting mountain ranges in the centers of continents, but if all you're looking for is a coastline, it should do fine. Trust me, it will look much better than an edit of Earth.

After 29 days not updating, here's what happened recently. Basically The Free States is becoming more of a misery, and now The Nation of Order has declared war on it. Also, a nice chunk of land seemed to become lawless recently, bordering your nation, Nue. Will you claim it for yourself?
Maybe The Blue States even wants to give you its lands, so they won't fall into the hands of worse enemies...
The Free Social Democracy is also close to declaring war on The Free States, to liberate the citizens. And the Laktra World Communist Union may possibly want to test some new weapons on it too, if Great Kolnor isn't going to join it soon.

We have found another Alien Species - Tech Advanced "refugees" from the Zetans.

Karakris: I'd also suggest that, too. I thought of using my fantasy universe in the Sosycrewi, too, but it isn't as fun when we don't have so much in common, like common units. It'll just confuse everyone if one user uses Earthly years, and the official unit is solar dates, and then we can't really interact, as we need time for our interactions to make sense?
I think you're completely welcome to join with another species, though, like I made the Zarva for the wiki. You could also adapt your history to the wiki and then let the future progress within the wiki, maybe splitting it in two (I can imagine that being slightly boring maybe), or with a main one whose elements are copied and only details, units etc. edited.
Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to have humans and our solar system within the wiki, because they exist in the Milkyway Galaxy, not the Sosycrewi Galaxy. Maybe one person could make humans/Sol.

Kind of the story is that the location of the SoSyCrWi galaxy is a dwarf galaxy orbiting the Milky Way. The Tripe sent a probe to a random star in the "big galaxy" and it will just so happen be Sol...

I would recommend not mixing the Sun into the wiki. Otherwise a lot of people will probably make stories about them colonizing/conquering/allying humans etc. Idk.
