It's easy, The earth is in the center.

Open "Earth and Moon" system
Pause it
Put stars/planets/asteroids around it.
Right click Earth
Click "Set to Center"
Unpause it
You can see the stars/planets/asteroid orbit around it. Though the Earth moves due to the stars' gravity.

As Naru523 and NeutronStar pointed out, this is the expected behavior. In the next version what is "the center" will be more obvious and easier to set.
