I used the data I have scrobbled from last.fm and then I manually made the graph in Excel using a website to get monthly stats (http://nicholast.fm), unfortunately.

So, I excluded artists with less than ~6 listens in one month.

I'm not sure if you export last.fm stats if you can have it (more) automatically do this for you. There used to be an online tool that generated graphics like that actually, which is where I got the idea, but it is no longer running.
