Is this a feature that is in the current alpha 19 preview that is available through the steam betas tab? Or will this be reserved for the actual release?

As I replied on youtube, this is not yet available, but should be in the next update, when it is being released.
No point in me taking time to make a video of something you can already see yourself. You go and make those videos ;-)

After watching it a few times, the explosions probably couldn't be better. But the fragmentation of body's looks rather odd, in my opinion. I liked how it looked in the previous preview version.
I'm not trying to dish you hard work, I'm justrying saying that there's something off about it. But I'm not sure what...
