Univision Song Contest V
We've seen some spectacular performances over the past week and plenty of demand for more... The votes are in and the results are ready. Let's take some time, while the results are prepared, to listen to last edition's winner.

First off, before we begin the results show, we must address the situation involving TheMooCows (Wyverncliff) and gagnant (Shmupland). Unfortunately, it has come to our attention (Yqt1001 and myself), that there is an issue with the votes from Wyverncliff and Shmupland. There is sufficient evidence to determine that they are in fact the same user, including a striking similarity of votes through all editions of Univision. In addition to this, Shmupland has voted for all 3 songs from Wyverncliff in every edition. As such, Shmupland's votes have been nullified, and his songs have been disqualified. Wyverncliff has elected to remove his votes, and has been disqualified as well. Therefore, there will only be 10 voters instead of the normally expected 12, and all votes will count towards any disqualified songs until the final result is released.
Now for our first voter, Blaist Blaland. All votes will be shown in chronological order as they were recieved.

All ties will be properly broken at the conclusion of the results, but for now, they will be considered ties.

And apparently I am banned for a year? Because that's what Matthew said. For what it's worth I don't understand this, can people not vote for all three songs of each other? And they have similar tastes? Well then do you think I am the same person as well? This makes no sense to me. Do you only have the "proof" that they vote similarly? Can you check their ips or something?

Next up is Tjedigar, the nation who's government recently changed this year, renaming the country.

No love for the leader Tjedigar? Instead their 15 goes to Solea's Vass Tunga. We can't say we're displeased.
With these votes, only 2 more voters remain. With 30 possible points to be given, only the top 4 songs (and countries) can win it now. Will it be Aahrus, Wyverncliff, Aeridani, or Darvincia?
Unfortunately Wyverncliff is ineligible for the win. If Dernière Danse fails to pull it off, we'll be seeing some new scenery.
And it's looking like three songs could end up with nul points this edition. :(

Now we go west to our friendly neighboring country, Darvincia:

Receiving high points, Aahrus retains the lead, but Darvincia's 15 goes toward second place. Sayonara overtakes Bromance.
And... if we evaluate the potential winners, a first look determines that Sayonara has a chance to tie!
Dernière Danse has, at this point, recieved votes from 7 countries, and Sayonara can only receive up to 6, if our final voter does give Aeridani 15 points.
Therefore, Indila's song Dernière Danse has won the Fifth edition of the Univision Song Contest for Aahrus!
But first, we need to see where all of the songs fall in the end.

Basically you take the positions of songs each nation voted for, put them into a formula so that the larger the number, the closer they are to getting the top 10 correct (giving 15 points to 1st and 1 point to 10th). Then you divide that number by the perfect score, so that the best score you can get is 1.000.
Taking the average then should determine the "spread" of voting, whether the winners were more confidently decided (more people agree == higher average), or if it was a close competition (lower average).
I plan on doing this for the previous editions as well, but I'll have to include juries in the calculation for I and II. That way we can see how the editions compare and who the all-time most correct voter is. Over time and in one edition.
Just some fun stuff, it's not really that useful. :P
