I am gonna buy the US 1 since the 2 is gonna take a while to come out on steam
is it worth it, or should i wait for the 2 ?

When you buy Universe Sandbox ² you must activate and download it via Steam. It's a Steam game and appears in your Steam Library, but you just can't yet buy it via Steam.

Personally i still use US1 and for 9$ it still worth it a lot.
I use it to do Accretion disk to develop planets or moon (yes i ve made an other way to create moon too on a realistic way).

The fact that US2 come out pretty soon doesn't change the fact that 1 is still awesome and didn't get old at all. At least in my opinion. So it's a money well spent. Like Deinisine said: still worth a lot.

The plan is to make Universe Sandbox ² be a complete replacement for the original. While there are a few things that the original does better now, that won't be true in the future.
