Title: It's realistic, but it's a pain (water level problem)
Post by: Xriqxa on August 25, 2014, 02:00:28 AM
Back in Alpha 8, changing water percentage immediately bumped up to what you want it to be. But now you have to wait a little bit before they slowly sink up to your desired percentage.

This isn't good, because:
1) You have no idea what the what the level is going to be
2) it's virtually impossible to create precise planets this way.

I think we should change it back, or at least add options in eternal the two.

Can you post some screenshots? I've not experienced this bug.

Im pretty sure its not a bug, but more of an annoying feature. I've experienced this and it is quite annoying. (Basically it make it so you either have to go really slow or be inaccurate)

Agreed... we'll change this to update more quickly when it's because of a user material slider change.

In the meantime... if you pause the sim... it should update more quickly.

I thought this was supposed to happen, like realistically it would take a while for the water to swell up or something.
