I am a Chinese. And I can't speak English very well with others people.So I and they hope your team can release the Chinese version with the universe sandbox2 alpha.You may ask me why said that,because we must use universe sandbox with dictionary.We feel tired.We think if it had a Chinese version is well.Can you undersatnd?In the Chinese website,the Chinese version with universe sandbox2 voice is very high.So,you know.Can you development?Thanks! :)

Okay it's been know to MOST PEOPLE outside the U.S have difficulty learning most of the time it's not easy English is a hard language words that mean words etc. GA said a while back tha the ge will have more languages when the games all ready for the public so sorry huppy you might have to wait tell then.

Exactly, I don't they have any use for extra languages during the beta. So asking why Dan hasn't "come up the" Chinese translation is because it isn't needed until the final release.

I agree with breakfastbacon here, the language option isn't really needed much until the actual release when LOTS of people who speak different languages buy it.

I don't think Dan would like to work on translations yet because it is not needed. Like I said earlier, right now their main focus is to make the game work. They will probably add translations when the game is released. They do not want to start working with Ubisoft / EA because then they get certain rights over the game.(I think that's how it works) Its just easier for GA to add translations after the game is released than to start working with Ubisoft, EA, etc.

Ubisoft and EA have hundreds and hundreds of employees. While GA does not have that kind of budget. You cannot compare the EA or Ubisoft to GA. For now you can use google translate to translate anything you don't understand.

the english in US2 is very, very basic. If you can understand this much (youre actually not that bad at english :D) you should be able to play US2 without too many problems.
And remember its not just about you, its about the whole world.
On FAQ, GA said the will have multi-language support after the initial release.
I dont think using Google Translate is a very good idea, either. Theres a burger in China who's name translates to "Suck that chicken flavour"

I really want to know what you mean by "Speaking UI" as well. Do you mean a sort of Siri type thing? Where you say, "Add Betelgeuse to simulation" and it'll add it? Why would that be needed?
Or do you mean it the other way around, where you click a button and it tells you what it says?

Learning a new language is hard for some. I've always struggled with it. I took French when I was 15-17, but none of that stuck. Thanks to everyone who did learn English so I can communicate with you.

German will probably the first language we translate as the first two developers other than myself both live in Germany (and we've sold more copies in Germany than any other non-English speaking country).

I want to release a Chinese translated version of Universe Sandbox ², but we've got lots of other things to before that. We talked about it at least 2 years ago in the context of developing Universe Sandbox ² to allow for multiple languages in the future.

I didn't really mean it like that, I meant that there is no real language in US2 (no sentences, etc. (Except in the tutorial)), just words. If we could perhaps get a sticky topic with translations on it, that'd be great for some of the non-English people on the forum.
(That would be the first step, though.)

See, this isn't how translating works. Instead, you get a bilingual person who knows both English and, say, Chinese, and he can translate the UI for the company. I think the only languages other than English that are in GA are Swedish and German, although I could be wrong. There are only 7 people in GA, stop asking so much of them.
And can't you just wait a little? The game hasn't even been released yet. In fact, there are still quite a few game-breaking bugs in US2. Just hold on, man, soon, soon. For now, why don't you click the buttons to see what they do instead of having to read?

1. I'm not racist. I just said that translation to other languages is not priority at the moment since US2 is so buggy it's not even a game yet.
2. English is actually the easiest language. And I'm not saying this because English is my primary language, I'm saying this by looking at other languages. English has a pretty short Alphabet compared to languages like Thai, and not many accents. Heck, it doesn't even have symbols.
3. Why do you keep saying "Chinese chinese chinese chinese!". Why not Lao, or Belarussian, or Nepali, or whatever? Just because Chinese is the most popular language doesn't mean that you have to force people who don't even know the language to translate it right away. Sheesh, you are like the only known Chinese Alpha Tester, there isn't anybody else complaining, why can't you just wait? SOON THERE WILL BE TRANSLATIONS JUST WAIT PLEASE DON'T EVEN RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE!
