So i was wondering if this would become a thing in Us2, it would be awesome
-
I think it will lag..
-
Although there should be a mass/density limit, otherwise we will have double lasers all over the universe 8)
Also, the laser and the shock-wave of the said hypernova/GRB should have a blast limit(for e.g: being hit by laser or shock-wave at under 15 parsecs would involve total destruction while being hit at 100 parsecs and beyond would involve loss of life, ozone depletion, radiation, being moved somehow or well,(maybe nothing?) something else...)
Keep in mind that when a Hypernova/GRB occurs, it's the laser that comes first; not the shock-wave.

This would make for an epic Black hole IMA_FIRIN_MAH_LAZOR vid ;D
EDIT:my computer would not lag either, as, honest, i got a $2000 alienware gameing computer, not to brag, also, SUPRISE MOTHA :-X AH (as u can see, i sencered the bad word with the " :-X ")

This is what it would look like

But seriously that would be awesome to see in US2
-
Gamma ray burst =/= laser
Lol

Yes but
Laser: Concentrated beam of high-energy photons
"Laser": Concentrated beam of high-energy magnetized stellar material

Yes but

The difference is that a laser is an organized beam of light, so in a strict definition, it's not correct, but I got the idea. A GRB is more of a very tight cone.

I think the "camera" was too close to actually see the angle to define the beam as a cone, but I see what you're saying.
I just hope that GA can figure everything out in a practical amount of time.
