Title: Cool Useful Feature
Post by: atomic7732 on November 25, 2008, 08:04:02 PM
First off, I was messing around with the "cosmic Billiards" and I came across that when you create rings they go off the rotational axis. About .2 days (sim time) I create one more ring and it is in a different axis. I was watching "If we had no moon" and our axis wouldn't be stable. Is it just this? Or is it just a random calculation of US's? So that is where my idea came in. Could there be a feature showing the rotational axis (perpendicular to the equator) and the real axis, axis? I don't know what it is called, but Earth's fluxuates over (I think) 500,000 years.

I think this could be a quite interesting feature.

Like the Hill Sphere thing or we could have it on the menu. To turn ALL ON for it and ALL objects off

The handling of axises in Universe Sandbox is currently quite simplistic.

Your idea of showing a body's axis is a good one. I've added the idea to the list.

Uhh, why?
'Cause IMO this doesn't seem very hard, but still hasn't been implemented.
