Title: How Jupiter looks
Post by: Becrux on February 21, 2014, 09:19:47 AM: I think Jupiter don't look finished... I hope there will be more editing to this cool planet.

For example: The red big dot is missing and the impacts of Shoemaker-Levy 9 are missing too. :(

Nope. People speak many different languages and all are welcome here. Please stop being so harsh and judgmental toward others.

Ideally if you've written a post in something other than English, it would be great if you could add the Google translation below it.

Our technique for generating gas giants allows the surface to be animated and not be static...

Fair point. There is much room for improvement and we'll consider ways of preserving the animated surface while adding support for storm systems like the giant red spot. That said... the impacts from Shoemaker-Levy 9 are no longer visible. Those are just smaller storms.

But right now, with all the awesome stuff going on, this is NOT priority at all. Also, this should be on the suggestions or screenshots page.
