I bought this on steam and it won't start. It doesn't give any errors, and I don't even think it starts any processes when I check the taskmanager. My status on steam changes to "Playing Universe Sandbox" for about a second or two but then goes back to normal.
I've tried reinstalling the game and I've tried the fix for steamwrapper errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same issue here. The "Preparing to start Universe Sandbox" pops up and then just disappears. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the game, and .net and have had no success.

Can you find the 3 log files here:
(My) Documents\Universe Sandbox\Logs
... and email them to me?
dan at universesandbox dot com
(it's possible this is a crash before the log files get written out too, let me know if you don't see a Logs folder)
Reply here after you've emailed them to me.

Try re-starting steam. This tends to fix most launch issues after purchases and downloads.

Hello! Same problem here, tried the wrapper fix, re-installed, restarted steam and rebooted my computer, no change. I don't have any log files, or rather, I don't have a Universe Sandbox folder in my documents.

Same thing with me, tried everything, nothing works so far. Also I cannot find any of these log files where are they located on win 7?

Yeah, same thing here..while i was installing i saw a error quickly then nothing..
it prepares to launch then nothing

well, this seems to be a problem with .net framework, dude.
I have .net 4 here, using in a windows 7 and i cant have 2 or 3 versions of .net because only v4 is for 7...So everybody running USB in a windows 7 with .net framework v4 is having the same tissues, I THINK

Apparently the problem occurs before the log files are ever written.
Sirm's suggestion is a good one. Try repairing your install of .NET 4:

Also make sure you computer has the latest windows updates:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
