I know it's not about u.S. itself but!! Does somebody know a PLANET simulator, like universe sandbox but with like one planet?
-
I remember somewhere on the main page theres a small list.
-
maybe "stellarium" ?
-
The list on this page:

What do you mean by only one planet?
Are you looking for something that just shows you the sky?
-
it's kind of difficult for me to explain... something like: you have a planet and you can choose to just watch it or shape it by launching asteroids on it.. something like that
-
i searched realy long a year ago but i found nothing...

i think this is java applet or not
-
My mistake, monmarfori, you already posted that link.
-
you're making a mistake. what. i think it i had java 6 update 13. will need a latest java to run games on dan-ball.jp
-
No one ever said Java was a problem, Monmarfori.
-
the reason why I asked this is... on national geographic there was a simulation of how the earth was made, and they showed a simulation program in which they showed how the moon became part of the earth (you know what i mean) and I've been searching for something like that ever since
-
vaaern:
I haven't seen a good simulator like what you're describing. I've seen some images and simulations, but I don't think that anyone's developed or released anything for the casual astronomer.
Let me know if you find anything. I'd love to play with that myself.
(Although I also plan to improve collisions in a future release, after the UI improvements are complete.)
-
I was afraid of that answer :D I haven't found anything, but if i do, I'll post it here somewhere
-
I found one!, I found one!

I'll check them out, thanks guys

well, the galaxy thing is what i need but then with planets, and the omni thing is weird but really cool! thanks
-
nor problem ;D

I think that those National Geographic simulations were done by supercomputers. Also on the omni thng, if you place a wormhole next to a planet with an atmosphere, the wormhole will rip away the atmosphere.
